Church planting, southern Osaka
Lessons learned in Japan...
- Don't ask what is in a dish before you eat it! Instead, try it first, then decide if it is necessary to know what it is.
- Wherever you go, God is there seeking your best.
- Man can't live by rice alone, either! We need to spend time with Him daily, seeking His will for our lives through the reading of Scripture and prayer.
- Pray. Pray. Pray.
- Talk to other missionaries to help clarify your call.
- Expect the unexpected.

Ministry Assignment
Discipleship and Evangelism
A Funny thing happened in Japan...
When praying before language class one day, I asked God to take revenge on our class rather than to bless our class!
Meaningful Ministry Moments...
I love when I am talking with a friend, about any subject, and that friend has a moment when the Holy Spirit gives a glimmer of understanding, hope, peace, God's love.
When you come to Japan...
Come with an open heart. Come ready to try new things and see God in unexpected places.
Words of Wisdom...
Keep seeking God. He will reveal Himself in real and understandable ways when we seek Him.

Ministry Assignment
My first year assignment is to study Japanese in Kyoto. After that I will be assisting church planting work.
Lessons Learned in Japan...
Know who you are... how God created you uniquely to be and God's calling on your life.
Meaningful Ministry Memories...
Talking with my students about my faith. I especially cherish positive responses such as this one I received in a letter. Do you remember our conversation at dinner? ... I remember clearly. In that conversation you told me about your faith. Usually Japanese don't have true faith...I think that your faith give you power and I hope I shall find my faith in my mind. The English is awkward, but it is exciting to see how God is at work in his life.

Lessons Learned in Japan...
- It is not my ABILITY but my AVAILABILITY to the Holy Sprit that is most important.
- The power and importance of prayer.
